Wildcat Wranglers
About the Wildcat Wranglers
The Wildcat Wranglers serve as student ambassadors to UK Ag Equine Programs. In this leadership program, students serve as representatives of the program at events and with future Wildcats and their families. Additionally, they are a resource to current students and work tirelessly to come up with fun events and ways for students to connect with each other.
This program is offered as a fall class for students interested in growing their leadership skills. They can continue in the spring semester with the Equine Event Planning Class where they get to help plan a 5K.
Past Events
The Week of Service is an annual event run by the Wildcat Wranglers. Each October the students gather volunteers to help various equine industry partners. This can range from cleaning African Cemetery No. 2 to painting jumps at the Secretariat Center.
The Horsey Hustle 5K was started by the Wildcat Wranglers in the Spring of 2022. This year the program will be holding the Fourth Annual Horsey Hustle 5K at Coldstream Park.
Study nights and game nights have become a favorite for students. The Wildcat Wranglers enjoy getting to put on events for their peers that help maintain the community within the Ag Equine Programs.
